A personal spiritual development course inspired by Ignatian Spirituality

The course aims to help participants develop and deepen their experience of prayer and to live more reflectively. It offers opportunity to explore faith, discover meaning and come to a deeper, closer relationship with God. It provides space to examine hopes and desires and to move towards the fullness of life we all long for.

The course will be run over 7 weekends once a month. The weekends will  begin on a Friday evening from 7 - 9.30pm and continue through Saturday from 10am - 4pm. There are B&Bs and hotels near St John's if you would like to stay overnight.

Retreat in Daily Life: 'Streams of Living Water'

  • A time to pause, reflect and refocus;
  • Become more aware of connections between faith, prayer and everyday life;
  • An opportunity to draw closer to God.

 

From 27 May – 2 June 2019, daily meetings with one-to-one prayer guide

 

  • find new meaning or a new way of being;
  • explore what God means to you;
  • discover the mystery of inner transformation.

 

The retreat in daily life will be led by Rachel Inglis with Mags Bryan. Both Rachel and Mags were trained by, and are members of, the Epiphany Group ScotlandEveryone is welcome. Book Group: Sensible Shoes

What to wear when going on a spiritual journey.

'Sensible Shoes' by Sharon Garlough Brown is about the spiritual journeys of 4 women - Hannah, Meg, Mara and Charissa - after they embark on a retreat in their hometown. The novel explores their deepening friendship as well as their individual inner journeys.

We will listen to each other as we explore, chapter by chapter, what resonates and which characters we relate to, We will also be introduced gently to the new ways of praying the characters experience in the book. No previous experience of prayer or faith is necessary. EVERYONE IS WELCOME
